About Me

Welcome!

Thank you so much for stopping by! I'm Jeri, a mother to three children, Kayleigh who is 5, Damien who is 3, and Brody who 22 months. I've been married to my husband, Ryan for almost 7 years. We've lived in Montana for most of our lives, and then my husband decided to go back to college, so we moved to Southeastern Idaho.

I've been a stay at home mom for 4 years. While it's challenging at times, I love it. We first learned of Sensory Processing Disorder, in January of 2013, when Damien, (in red sweatshirt) started acting completely different. We then found out in August of 2013, that our daughter had several learning disorders. In November of 2013, we had our youngest son evaluated by an occupational therapist, and we were  told he had sensory processing disorder too.

Our weeks are filled with homeschooling our daughter, nine therapy appointments, college, everything that goes with being a mom, and my crazy idea to start a shop, Weighted Creations.

One day, after being told a weighted blanket should help my son, I decided to make one for him. The ones online are expensive, and just aren't that cute. In October 2013, Weighted Creations was opened on Facebook and orders slowly started coming in.

In February 2013, after closing shop for a month for a medical issue, the shop opened up again, and orders started pouring in, between 3-5 a week, from all over the United States.

I make weighted blankets, lap pads (regular, dino, or sea horse) weighted vests and neckpads. I can make these for toddlers to adults. Every order is custom made.

I started this blog to document our life, my shop, and to share my experience with sensory processing disorder and other learning disorders.

Thanks for stopping by!
